NL In opdracht van het International Film Festival Rotterdam ontwierp Jos Blom in samenwerking met theatervormgever Theun Mosk het tijdelijke paviljoen Elastic Minute op het Schouwburgplein. Het Paviljoen omvat een last minute ticketshop, een koffiebar, een informatieloket en een filmische installatie. Al deze functies zijn ondergebracht in drie standaard opslagcontainers verbonden door een open ‘schil’ van aluminium en elastiek. De demontabele containers zijn gecoat in de kleuren van het festival. Achter de dubbel te openen deuren gaan zorgvuldig afgewerkte houten elementen met loketten schuil. De containers zijn zodanig bewerkt dat ze jaarlijks kunnen worden hergebruikt of benut voor andere doeleinden.

EN For the International Film Festival Rotterdam Jos Blom designed, in collaboration with stage designer Theun Mosk, Elastic Minute, a temporary pavilion on the city square Schouwburgplein. The pavilion includes a last minute ticket shop, a coffee shop, an information desk and a filmic installation. These functions are accommodated inside three storage containers embraced by a skin consisting of aluminum tubes and elastic band. The exterior of the removable containers is painted in the colors of the festival. Behind the double doors carefully executed wooden counters are hidden. The design allows the containers to be compactly stored and reused every year in the same or a different arrangement.
